Mana Montessori is located in Albatross Close, Whitby, in a sunny spot beside Endeavour Park.

The purpose-built preschool has two classes, each with three dedicated teachers and up to 25 children. Each class is equipped with the same specialised range of Montessori equipment, as well as art activities, games and books. Each class has a covered deck and easy access to the outdoor areas.

The preschool has an attractive outdoor environment with playground equipment, water play, a sandpit, gardening beds, and covered areas for sunny or rainy days.

Our programme weaves te reo and tikanga Māori into the tamariki’s everyday activities through song, conversation, learning resources, and weekly kapa haka sessions. We also celebrate language weeks and special occasions from other cultures, bringing in members of our preschool community to share their knowledge and experiences.

Mana Montessori is a not for profit community preschool. The Centre manager, teachers and the governance committee work together to ensure that the preschool truly reflects the spirit and philosophy of Maria Montessori and her love and respect for children.
